Joe’s Garage

While out driving around Minneapolis one day for work, I saw this sign. Not sure why it piqued my interest but I drove around the block twice to find a place to park so I could quick take a few pictures. I used Lightroom to boast the color of the red bricks.

This was the room sign for my home away from home in Omaha in March. I played around with the green color a bit using Lightroom.

New Glarus Organic Revolution

Spent a little time in Madison last month and was able to enjoy some New Glarus Organic Revolution as well as play with my new wireless flash system, courtesy of the fine folks at AlienBees. The flash is sitting on the table behind and slightly right of the bottle and the flash output was adjusted to 1/64 power. I should have cleaned the desk prior to shooting.

Cloudy Water Tower

I spent a week in Omaha in March and this water tower was on top of some rehabbed condos next to my hotel. This was the only day of the week with the clouds looking like this.

Exposure: 1/250 sec, Aperture: f/11, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200

Snow Cone

I liked the way the snow formed on this bush/flower thing we have in the front of our house. I’ll be glad when I have no more pictures to post with snow in them. :)

Valentine’s Daisies

I got my lovely wife some daisies for Valentine’s Day and had some pretty good natural light coming through our dining room window which gave me an opportunity to take some pictures. I was messing around with some different shutter speeds and at 1/1600 second, this is what happened. You would never know these were sitting in sunlight (8:45 a.m.) on our dining room table with a china cabinet behind them.

Exposure: 1/1600 sec, Aperture: f/2.0, Focal Length: 50 mm, ISO 200.
