52 Week Project: Week 24
I took this last week at The Crossing’s Thrill and Move Conference. I hadn’t really planned on shooting much but when I the afternoon session off from serving, I started firing away and didn’t stop until the CF card was nearly full. This ended up being my favorite picture of the day. I have a few thoughts on shooting the conference that I’ll share later this week. It was a challenging and learning experience (both the conference and the photography).

Hit the Ball!
I was fortunate enough to attend a game at Target Field last week. I sat in the third deck so the 75-300mm was my lens of choice for the day. I shot continuous for several batters and pitchers throughout the game to see what I could turn up and for a little practice as I zero experience thus far with sports shooting. This at-bat by Joe Mauer was the only one I could get with the ball in the frame. I cropped a bit off the bottom behind the ump and catcher as well as the first base side. I think I need a bigger lens.
