While traveling through Aitkin, MN last summer, I spotted this new church that was just built (Saint James Catholic Church). I stopped by and shot a few frames. Most of the images were pretty forgettable but this one drew my eye with the road leading to the church.

I’ve been to the Air Force Academy several times in my life and it remains one of my favorite buildings to view and visit. Out of all the pictures I’ve taken, this one of the entrance I took in August 2008 is still one of my favorites.

Here’s what the rest of the building (most of it anyway) looks like from yesterday’s post. I rested against one of the walls of the hotel I was staying at to prevent from swaying too much.

While in Omaha on business, my hotel was next to this building, which is part of a rehabbed area with new condos, offices and restaurants. The brick columns mixed with the large glass windows were too good to pass up.

The last image of this one and this one using the AEB function. Of the three, this is probably my favorite.
Exposure: 0.6 sec, Aperture: f/5.6, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200 (Exposure Bias: -1.0)
Following up yesterday’s post, today’s is the AEB’s overexposed by one stop look. The lights certainly lose their shape.
Exposure: 2.5 sec, Aperture: f/5.6, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200 (Exposure Bias: 1.0)
I rarely use the Automatic Exposure Bracketing featuring on my camera but found a chilly evening in March a good opportunity to try it out on the Monona Terrace. If you turn 180°, you would get this image. This image is the original with the upcoming ones having the exposure set one stop over and [...]
A nighttime view of the captial building from the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and E. Wilson Street in Mad Town.

This statue sits in front of the Qwest Center in Omaha, NE and has a little bit of everything; some figures, a clock, and some balls.
Exposure: 1/13 sec, Aperture: f/3.5, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 800
A closeup of the glass Desert Dome from last week.
