52 Week Project: Week 8

We had some nice ice forming on the trees around our house a couple of weekends ago that I was able to shoot before they melted. This was one of my favorites even though I think this is a weed. I included a black and white version as well, which I like a little more.

    I agree, the b&w version looks better…it removes the colors in the background which I found a little distracting. Do you have a macro lens? I would have liked to see some close-ups of the ice formation. Also, did you try a square crop to remove the empty space in the left of the image…just a thought. Nice job!

    Unfortunately, I do not have a macro lens. Add it to the list of things to get. :)

    As or the square crop, I didn’t try it but I’ll check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
