No Images But Some Potential?
No new images for today or tomorrow as I’m swamped at work plus I took on a potential commercial project doing photography for real estate agents. I don’t know if will turn into anything but I’m pretty excited to try it out.
Angry Clouds
I don’t know why but the first thought that came into my head with this image was “the clouds look angry.” This was after a decent storm had rolled through the eastern suburbs of the Twin Cities.
Exposure: 1/160 sec, Aperture: f/8.0, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 800

Field of Round Bales
Chalk this image up to seeing something that looked potentially like an interesting image but ended up being rather ordinary. I saw these bales while driving through North Dakota and at one particular angle from the road, they looked like an advancing army over the field. For whatever reason, I couldn’t replicate that angle for the shot. A bit disappointing to say the least.
Exposure: 1/80 sec, Aperture: f/5.6, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200

Parking Lot Crater
I work in the insurance field (safety & risk management) and sometimes I see things that make me shake my head. FWIW, this picture has zero photographic value other than using it in a training presentation (in a nice, mocking way of course) and I needed a filler for today’s image.
Exposure: 1/2000 sec, Aperture: f/5.6, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200

Hanging Basket Flowers
The city of Devils Lake, ND had hanging baskets of flowers on every light post throughout town. All of them were taller then me so it was a nice break to take pictures of flowers looking at or up at them rather than the usual down shot.
Exposure: 1/250 sec, Aperture: f/5.6, Focal Length: 135 mm, ISO 200

Truck In Field
Found this truck sitting in a field while in North Dakota this summer. The sky was pretty boring so I changed the Luminance a bit using Lightroom.
Exposure: 1/125 sec, Aperture: f/11, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200

Random Clouds
Cruising through North Dakota this summer and shot some random clouds. I ramped up the Blue saturation of the sky in Lightroom.
Exposure: 1/1000 sec, Aperture: f/11, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200

Building Corner Building
Here’s what the rest of the building (most of it anyway) looks like from yesterday’s post. I rested against one of the walls of the hotel I was staying at to prevent from swaying too much.
Exposure: 1/10 sec, Aperture: f/3.5, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 800

Building Corner
While in Omaha on business, my hotel was next to this building, which is part of a rehabbed area with new condos, offices and restaurants. The brick columns mixed with the large glass windows were too good to pass up.
Exposure: 1/30 sec, Aperture: f/3.5, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 800

Monona Center – Take Three
The last image of this one and this one using the AEB function. Of the three, this is probably my favorite.
Exposure: 0.6 sec, Aperture: f/5.6, Focal Length: 28 mm, ISO 200 (Exposure Bias: -1.0)
