Happy July 4th!

I took about a dozen pictures of our neighbor’s flag on a particularly windy March day. For some reason, this one stood out the most. Perhaps it was because it was an instant in which the wind died down very briefly.

Happy Independence Day Alan! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating with friends/family.

Nice light on the flag. A couple of suggestions…I would tighten up the crop so the viewers focus is really zeroed in on the flag itself. I feel distracted by all the sky and the branches/roofs in the background. Also, the focus seems sharp on the stripes but a little fuzzy on the stars…I would get that focus sharp on the stars and let the stripes start blurring as you visually move down. Of course, my eyes could be deceiving me…it is, after all, 1:30am.

    I’m off to bed.
