Finally had a few minutes to peruse the seemingly millions of pictures we took over the weekend with the birth of our son Isaac. He was born on April 11th at 5:18 pm and weighted 8.4 lbs and was 21 inches in length. Other than the first night, things have gone fairly smoothly with much assistance from my mom who was able to help out with watching Samantha. She’s slowing warming up to him and doesn’t cry when he does. She just runs around the house saying “Baby” all day.
From a photography standpoint the lighting in the hospital stinks. For some of the pictures, I used my speedlight set up with my wireless remote trigger to try to get some light in the room (I was able to bounce it off the white ceiling at 1/8th power to at least get some decent shots).
